Congratulations to the residents of Kirishi.
On July 8, the city of Kirishi received the high title “City of Military Valor” for the courage, fortitude and heroism shown by the defenders of the Fatherland during the offensive operations of the Red Army troops in Kirishi region against German troops and during the assault on the fortified site in the area of the settlements of Novye Kirishi and Gruzino in the period from October 16, 1941 to October 8, 1943.
The settlements Gostilitsy and Krasny Bor were awarded the title “Settlement of Military Valor” as well.
Regional deputies approved the according bills in three readings at once.
